Mission Statement
As an extension of the service and mission of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Nutritional Development Services provides meals, food assistance and additional support to organizations that serve children or the poor.

NDS is able to accomplish its mission through two separate programs:
  • Child Nutrition Programs which are federally-funded and provide free, reduced or reasonably priced meals to children at schools, child care centers, after-school programs, summer camps, and other agencies.

  • Community Food Program is a charitably-funded program that includes food drives and other anti-hunger community service activities.

  • NDS serves children, families, agencies and churches regardless of their religious affiliation. More about NDS ...

Sign Up Now for the Summer Food Service Program for Children

Every year NDS partners with churches, community centers, day care centers and many other organizations to provide meals to children while they are on summer vacation. Lunch and a choice of breakfast or snack are available. Meals are delivered daily. Any group that plans to work with at least 25 children at least one week of the summer is encouraged to call to see if they are eligible.
