Loaves & Fishes

The Nutritional Development Services Loaves and Fishes 2013 Spring Newsletter includes information about the NDS programs feeding children in schools, after-school programs, child care centers, and other venues. Through our Community Food Program, the hungry in our community are able to receive meals and food assistance. This program is dependent on the generosity of people like you, and your support can help us give life to the miracle of the loaves and fishes!

As an extension of the service and mission of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia,
Nutritional Development Services provides meals, food assistance, and additional support to organizations that serve children or the poor.

NDS is able to accomplish its mission through two separate programs:

  • Child Nutrition Program
Includes federally-funded Programs that provide free, reduced, or reasonably priced meals to children at schools, child care centers, after-school programs, summer camps,
           and other agencies.

  • Community Food Program
A charitably-funded program that includes food drives and other anti-hunger community service activities.

  • NDS serves children, families, agencies, and churches regardless of their religious affiliation.
